Yet another predictable defeat and our season. Is fallin quicker than a hookers knickers. Think we will end up about 12th and given the budget he has had and the salary he is paid it's simply not good enough.

Anyway .... Someone elsewhere said we have a squad good enough to give any team a run ..... Do me a favour! We have a decent back line and a couple of bright sparks in Sakho and Valencia. Kouyate is alright but not top class. In fact, I'd say Sakho is the only player outside our back 4 who is a class act and could play in one of the top 6 clubs.
Nobody in their right mind should be thinking that we ought to be able to go to Arsenal and give them a run. It might happen once in five years but the frenzy over us losing is ridiculous. This is a drab and massively incomplete team. We did good business in the last window but its building on an awful base. Allardyce has spunked some good money up the wall - Jarvis anyone - and has been propped up but what increasingly feels like signings made by the owner. Even then he's contrived to mess around and fall back on the same old tired format whenever he can.
So where will we finish .... Hopefully in a full throttle nosedive to something like 14th but I suspect he'll just about cling on to 10th or 11th.
Is it just me who watches MOTD or other live games and wonders how the likes of Stoke, Palace and Burnley can play football thats so much more entertaining and incisive than ours?

If he finishes below Pards and Pulis then that would be a fucking shambles.
This post Xmas slump is even worse than anything Curbs served up, we will see just how ambitious/skint our board are in the summer with what they do with him.

I don't think it was anything personal by Pardew just that we are the team up the league that is in reach for them.
Agree about that McDonald MOTD interview. Seemed a bizarre negative but oh so accurate indication of our ambitions and plans at 1-0 down. Nothing about keeping the ball or passing or moving but all about throw ins. More dreary rubbish

Just watched MOTD and I'm sure McDonald just said we worked hard not to concede throw ins.
What a SOPHISTACATED way of setting a team up for a London derby.

I said 8th last year even when we were in the top four. We've lost touch with the top now and I couldn't see such a drastic drop in form which has only seen us win one in 12.
I'm in no doubt injuries and suspensions haven't helped but the managers tactics and his whole negative demeanor in the press have destroyed a season where we could and should have been around a UEFA cup place but look like being lucky to retain 10th.

I'm with White Horse. I'm cheering every goal ..... against! We either change manager now and invest BEFORE we go to OS or we will face another few years of excruciating pointlessness. It's a grimly predictable league already. Is there really any joy or anything remotely interesting in an aspiration of keeping a clean sheet and seeing if we can finish mid table.

I noticed Pardew in his MOTD interview last night said he had his eye on West Ham. They are 6 Pts back
We have Sunderland, Leicester & Stoke up next. We have to be looking for 3 wins. If we don't win any it's entirely possible we won't win again this season.
